Col. V.S. Kudaligama’s 90th Birthday Celebrations
To celebrate the 90th birthday of our former principal, Colonel Kudaligama, the OAAV organized a special event on May 10th at the EpicureX restaurant in Mulgrave. The evening was designed to honour his remarkable career and contributions to Ananda and education in general, featuring a unique “This is Your Life” style interview format. During this segment, many memorable highlights of Colonel Kudaligama’s colourful career were revisited in vivid detail, providing a nostalgic journey through his achievements and experiences.
The event was attended by over 70 well-wishers, including Colonel Kudaligama’s wife and immediate family, who joined in celebrating this milestone occasion. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and appreciation as Col. Kudaligama shared stories, anecdotes, and fond memories of his interactions at Ananda College over the years.
