Working Bee Project at Nissokaramaya Buddhist Temple
On 9th November 2024, dedicated committee members and generous well-wishers came together for a meaningful working bee at Nissokaramaya Buddhist Temple. This collaborative effort focused on preparing the temple’s backyard area for concreting works and the construction of a new back veranda, which will enhance the temple’s facilities and provide additional space for community activities.
The project represented a wonderful example of community spirit and collective generosity, bringing together members of the Old Anandians Association of Victoria (OAAV) and well-wishers who contributed their time, effort, and expertise to support the temple’s development.
Yugantha Karunaratne, Janaka Hidellearachchi, and Ajitha Edirisinghe organized the working bee project and executed well. Their coordination and hands-on involvement ensured that all tasks were completed efficiently and according to plan, laying the groundwork for the successful completion of this important temple improvement project.
This initiative reflects the strong bond between the temple and its community, demonstrating how collective effort and shared commitment can create lasting benefits for everyone who visits and worships at Nissokaramaya.
