SUMMARY:Clean-up Australia Day
DESCRIPTION:Clean Up Australia Day has successfully grown each year to make this community event the largest annual environmental campaign in Australia. This Day is now firmly entrenched in the Australian calendar. It is an apolitical\, non-profit community campaign in which everyone can participate. This year’s Clean Up Australia Day is on Sunday 7 March 2021. Every year hundreds of thousands of Australians help clean up their local environment on Clean Up Australia Day. It is a lot of fun and everyone can take part. In the past\, we have had more than 20 volunteers (Old Anandians and their family members) taking part in the cleaning up activities. After the cleaning up activities were over\, all of us were feeling elated knowing that we have made a small contribution to the country we call home now\, by participating in this important event. Once again we have selected Mordialloc Creek and Epsom wetlands as our designated site. We need as many volunteers as possible on the day. We are planning to commence clean-up activities at 8.30am and conclude by 12 noon. Meeting Place: Car Park next to the J Grut Reserve in Mordialloc. DESCRIPTION:Founders’ day almsgiving program was concluded on 25th and 27th October at Berwick\, Dandenong\, Keysborough\, and Rockbank temples\, respectively. The Program was a huge success and the overall feedback was encouraging with members contributing in various ways to make this program a success.
